To celebrate and promote Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Target asked for an in-store experience showcasing the film’s main themes: female empowerment, identity, unity and hope.
Our response: a multi-touchpoint experience that welcomed and immersed guests with the vibrancy of Wakanda at Target. The promotion featured custom CGI signage made to look like beveled Vibranium–Wakanda’s energy source, a welcome archway with motion activated music and LED hologram, screen-displays inspired by Shuri’s lab, and even an AR experience (made in partnership with Target’s internal team). The installation was a huge success and marked a few firsts for Target:
• 1st in-store use of an LED hologram in-store
• 1st Marvel x Target partnership featuring custom, exclusive content
• 1st in-store AR experience
